About Me
Hi, I'm Naomi, the owner of Purrfect Paws Cattery.
I live on our family property just outside Maffra with my partner, our four boys, and a whole collection of much-loved animals. If you've driven down our driveway, you'll know animals are a huge part of our lives! From Dolly, our grumpy old chestnut mare, to our three dogs—Scooby the Great Dane, Willow the bitza, and Fox the whippet—as well as our flock of chickens and our two beautiful cats, Spook and Spencer, there's never a dull moment around here.
My love of animals has always been a big part of who I am. Several years ago, I worked at Longford Cattery, where I was entrusted with the day-to-day care of the cats and gained valuable experience learning both animal care and the running of a small business.
In 2025, I decided it was time to turn a dream into reality. While still working at Myrtlebank Roaming Farms, I began planning a business that combined my passion for animals with my previous cattery experience. What started as an idea soon became a project, and before long I was transforming our shed into the purpose-built 18-pen cattery that stands today.
Throughout the process, I learned that running a cattery is about much more than simply loving cats. As a cat owner myself, I know exactly what I would want when leaving my own pets in someone else's care: a clean and comfortable environment, the opportunity to see where they're staying, and complete confidence in the person caring for them.
Those values are at the heart of everything we do at Purrfect Paws Cattery.
My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and caring home away from home where every cat receives personalised attention and is treated as part of the family. I take the time to get to know each guest's personality, routine, and individual needs so they can enjoy a calm and stress-free stay.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing happy, relaxed cats and knowing their owners can enjoy peace of mind while they're away.
